Almost There

I graduate at 7PM on Friday, May 14th. I have never been more ready. Sometimes it just feels like there is so much to do between now and then that it’s simply not possible to complete as a human. And of course the wedding is almost exactly 2 weeks after that. Both of these things take much planning and working to guarantee their success, and when it’s over it probably won’t seem like it was ever very bad. But right now… well it’s just an entirely different story.

You’ve probably heard me say it or read it on my profile: I need musician models. Yes, I’m covering musicians as my thesis again, but I intend to employ a different style, and I’m using a medium format camera (I love squares) instead of large format, so it’s not at all the “same” thesis by any means. So if you can make it to San Marcos this semester, please do, cause I will shoot you. With my camera.

See the mockumentary, “A Mighty Wind” by Christopher Guest. I can’t get the music out of my head… I just love it.

I very much hate my Issues in Contemporary Art class. But it’s only part of a 9-hour load, so it should be fine, right? Well, the other two classes are photography classes, and it’s quite challenging. This is really where the overwhelming feelings are coming from. Maybe things will be great in a week.

The single most frightening thing is to think I might not get into graduate school for this fall. We’ll manage, if that’s the case, but I am not looking forward to getting rejection letters.
