CrazyWalker

The End

This might very well be the last entry I ever make to CrazyWalker.com. I’m going to start taking the site down next week, before the wedding, so I don’t have to mess with it much when we get back from San Francisco. I considered leaving a lot of things up, but decided that bandwidth was an issue, and that if my words were really all that important to anyone, they could always try to use the Internet Time Machine.

The upside is that I will be starting a new site. First, I’ll give you a little background. My mom, Stacy’s parents and Stacy have provided me with a new lens for the Canon EOS series of cameras. I have a Canon Elan 7E currently, and so my dad bought me the Canon Digital Rebel for graduation. Since it is also part of the EOS series, that means the lens will work on both cameras. So because I will now have a Digital SLR, I’ve decided I’m going to join the world of Photo Blogging.

For those of you unfamiliar with the word “blog”, it’s a combination of the words “web” and “log”. Weblog… ‘blog for short. Essentially, it’s a journal or diary, and usually people can make comments on the author’s entry. In my case, the entries will consist of an image, and possibly accompanying text. I have a name for it, but I’m not going to reveal it yet. You’ll have to check WalkerPickering.com for details soon.

Graduation was quite boring. I was out of order, and quite possibly the only one to do that. It was supposed to be alphabetical, but I preferred sitting next to my friends Maya and Janet in the W section. And heck, my middle name could count for the W. It did go pretty quickly though, and then we went to Outback for a late dinner. Beforehand, my dad came into town with the rest of the family and Ryan Mo (who came out for an 8 hour surprise visit) and I joined them for an early dinner. We just had cheese sticks, but it filled me up.

So, 8 days until the wedding. The end of CrazyWalker.com. The end of the single life. I think I’m ready… at least as ready as I can be. Thanks to everyone who put up with me and this lazy site for the past 4 years. It’s been fun.
