I’ve found myself wanting to write something for the past several weeks, but not having much to say. I worked this Saturday for the Speaker’s wife’s Christmas party. It was my first experience with hundreds of people on the House floor, so that was good to have before session begins. In related news, my new friend Polly was recently hired to work for us for the session. She’s an awesome photographer, and it’ll be really nice to have her around. I’m so pleased with the crew we have in our department. It seems each job I have is a step up from the last, in terms of personnel. (And no, that doesn’t mean that the people at my previous jobs were worse. It just means I have a lot more in common with each group. Of course, I’m not counting my job at Dairy Queen in 1997. That just sucked.) We’re having a little photography get-together at the office on Wednesday. It actually doesn’t have anything to do with work, and I kind of organized it with my friend Ann Texter, and Polly. See, we went to a TPS push pin meeting a little while back, where Ann and I first met Polly. (Push pin meetings are little gatherings where we get to show our work to other photographers.) And we enjoyed it so much that we wanted a way to meet a little more regularly, and decided to do this. My former boss from Precision, Phillip should be coming, as well as a few people from work, and hopefully some friends of other people. So I’m really looking forward to it. Oh, and I turned 24 today. (And so did Colby.) CommentsYeah, Happy Birthday, birthday buddy. Colby | Monday, December 6, 2004 | 7:01AM Crap, forgot about your birthdays! Happy belated birthday you two. Casey | Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | 10:52AM It’s ok Casey. I just cried myself to sleep instead of talking to you. I’m sure Colby did the same. Walker | Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | 11:03AM I just mixed alcohol and operating heavy machinery. That made me forget. Colby | Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | 7:06PM HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! The site’s only up a month or so and already, we’re getting impatient. Colby | Thursday, December 9, 2004 | 7:10AM The more responses I get, the more posts you get. =) Walker | Thursday, December 9, 2004 | 8:39AM I agree Amanda! I can only read about chicago so many times before I have to…well, read about it again! It’s a vicious cycle. Casey | Thursday, December 9, 2004 | 11:00AM Happy late Birthday Colby and Walker. Just think, one more year until those insurance rates drop… Big Dookie | Thursday, December 9, 2004 | 11:04AM All Content © Walker Pickering |
