Let Me Sleep

Thursday, February 24, 2005 | 2:03PM

I’ve been consistently tired over these past few days, due, in no small part, to a total lack of a single full night of sleep. I’ve never had this problem before, but it seems that I’ve been waking up around 2am or 4am (or both) several different days. And last night, Homer was either scared of the raging storm or just had to pee, because he was whining for what seemed like 15 minutes. As I pushed him out the door, his glee turned to horror as he realized he must get back in to stay dry. I yelled at him (you know, that quiet yell, so as not to wake the neighbors or the wife sleeping upstairs) to go pee!, and I guess he did. I saw him disappear beyond the barbeque grill, and return in less than 10 seconds. That never seems to be enough time for him on our walks, but maybe he finally got the picture. He came back in with far more energy than when I pushed him out, so I had to leave him with a repetitive NO. That’s one of the only words he really understands (other than yungo-ousside? [you wanna’ go outside?], and mail.)

Some of the Representatives argued about a bill on the Floor today. That was my first time to witness that in person, near the action (not in the gallery), so it was cool.

Yes, I’m quite guilty of that.

Casey’s TMI Quote of the Day: Eating Honey Nut Cheerios makes your pee smell like Honey Nut Cheerios.

Seriously, try it. I’ve only noticed it on the namebrand though.

I can back you up on that one, Casey.
