Sine Die

Monday, May 23, 2005 | 12:11AM

A week from today will be the last day of the 79th session for the Texas Legislature. This is good in a big way because it means no more late nights at work until January of 2007. Well, barring any special sessions, that is. It means no more working on Saturdays or Sundays (again, for the most part). It’s called Sine Die, which is, like, Latin or something… like totally Latin.

The season finale of 24 is tonight (wasn’t that an incredibly smooth transition between topics?) and it’s 2 hours long. I really enjoy that show.

Maybe you could add something interesting now. Let’s have a conversation.

I will not be happy with tonight’s 24 unless Jack personally drops from a plane, onto the nuclear missle, and rides it cowboy style all the way to Washington, where he then bites off a chunk of enriched uranium, chews it up, and spits it across the world at the Chinese capitol.

Actually, I’ll probably be fine no matter what. Jack, you rascal, you haven’t disappointed me yet!

I laughed out loud on the House Floor when I read that, Justin. Luckily, it wasn’t during the daily prayer.
