We’re driving to see family in Greenville, SC tomorrow for Thanksgiving. It’s kind of weird to think that any other family we have is nearly a thousand miles from here. I know I’ve been a punk about updating this site. School is great, so I’m plenty busy with that. Plus, I’ve started a few other sites that have to do with school. “CrazyWalker @ SCAD-ATL” [now merged with this blog] is just an offshoot of this blog, and I talk about my own personal experiences at SCAD-Atlanta, and the Photo Awesome Club web site is the (un)official place where the club I helped start posts information. (Now that was a confusing statement… I’m too lazy to revise it.) Stacy and I are leaving for Houston next Wednesday. We’ll stay at my mom’s beach house until Thursday at 5pm, when our cruise leaves for Cozumel. Stacy’s friend Katie is getting married down there, and her other friend Benay will be staying with us at the beach house. Big Dookie, Jennifer and Claire are going to come visit us on Wednesday, too. And apparently Claire is walking now. I’ve been “employed” by Best Buy for the past month and a half, even though I haven’t been on the schedule there. It’s been great having some time off, but I’ll go back to work there after we return from the cruise in December and work until school starts back in early/mid-January. And over the 7-week break, I’ll also be working up at the school, doing stuff in the lab for Travis, who is in charge of facilities and equipment and stuff in the Photography Department. Oh, speaking of equipment, we finally got to make some prints on the new Theta printer at the school. I made a 30x37.5 inch print from a color 4x5 negative I had scanned on the Imacon in about 7 minutes. It was stunning. I will be shooting a lot more color now (and I’ve been shooting color all quarter). This is a picture of me being sad that school is out for 7 weeks: CommentsAll Content © Walker Pickering |
