Seagulls Like Fritos

…and other things we did on the cruise.

Ok, so this was actually taken on the ferry on our way to Galveston to leave for the cruise. But man, those birds really do dig the Fritos. They were screaming at me for more from like 2 feet away. Way better than bread.

The cruise to Cozumel was, uhm, less than stellar. Everyone says that cruise ships are like their own city. But what they fail to tell you is if you’re older than 12 or younger than 35, a cruise ship is just an excessively boring city. A city you can’t leave until you’ve reached your port(s) of call. A city that can potentially rock enough to nearly knock you off your feet (as ours did for four straight days). The most exciting thing that happened on the ship was when we went out to see exactly what was causing our ship to rock so violently. The 20 foot waves were incredibly cool to see in person. A tiny boat wouldn’t have stood a chance.

By far, the most exciting thing on the trip was the day in Cozumel. We rented a two-seater mo-ped (are they all two-seaters?), which was a ton of fun, and drove to the beach where Stacy’s friend Katie got married. It rained in the middle of the wedding, but both parts (out- and indoors) were beautiful. Then we were forced to get back on the stupid boat.

We’re back on land now, but it still feels like the ground is moving. It’s been like this ever since we got back. I don’t really know when it’s going to stop. Stacy and Benay were complaining of the same feeling.

I start back at Best Buy (after a month and a half hiatus) tomorrow for a month, then I’ll quit for good. I don’t really want to go back, because I’ll still be working at the school part time as well, but it’ll be some nice extra cash, and I owe it to them for letting me keep the discount while I was off. Did I mention that the single best reason to work for Best Buy is the incredible discount? Before they stopped allowing families of employees to use it two months ago, it was my also my Dad’s favorite thing about me working at Best Buy.

Oh, our internet is out too. We’re at the mall using some free Wifi so Stacy can work. COMCAST IS THE DEVIL. I hate that company so much.

Comments

Hahah, wow I would have figured the cruise would have been fun. What are you going to be doing after Best Buy?

I’ll be working at the school part time, and I’m also going to be a TA this next quarter, and hopefully every quarter after that.
